Making sensitive water circuits hygienic and efficient

The food and beverage industry around the world places high demands on process reliability, hygiene, and product quality. Production plants must remain stable even in the event of changing loads and strict tolerances. At the same time, energy and water efficiency are becoming increasingly important for economic and regulatory reasons. Water is a vital component of many processes: It is used as cooling water, process water, and circulating water as well as in thermal circuits. Fouling, biofouling, and deposits (scaling) impair heat transfer in heat exchangers and evaporators, increase energy demand, and have a direct impact on the performance of the overall plant. If these influences are not managed effectively, efficiency and process stability will drop. Our solutions are aimed at keeping water-carrying circuits in sensitive production environments stable. They reduce the effects of fouling, foster hygienic operating conditions, and help to increase efficiency in the long run.

Efficient industrial refrigeration

Water-cooled chillers and heat pumps are crucial for reliable refrigeration in many buildings and industrial processes. In order for them to work efficiently, the heat transfer process in evaporators and condensers must remain stable. Microfouling can noticeably impair the heat transfer process even in cooling water circuits that are supposed to be closed. This results in rising differential pressures, unnecessary efficiency losses, and a higher energy consumption for providing the required cooling capacity.
